About Wizard Systems and TweakIE

	Here at Wizard Systems, we began working with Internet Explorer heavily during the version 3.0 beta over two years ago. At that time we found a bug or two that was not being addressed by Microsoft. Since we felt quite strongly that Internet Explorer was the best choice in browsers, and still is, we began helping out quite a bit in the newsgroups and saw that people were experiencing the same problems that we were. One of the most serious problems was the strange occurrence of Internet Explorer performing slower and slower. Once we figured out that it was the .DAT files causing the problem, we released a small DOS batch program called IESweep to take care of this issue. Over time, we saw that this problem was not being addressed, so the TweakIE project was started. What began as a collection of 'bug fixes and tweaks' is now transforming into a full-fledged companion to Microsoft Internet Explorer. In the upcoming v3.0 we will break new ground by focusing on new functionality through vastly improved features and heavier integration with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. As that project nears completion, Wizard Systems will announce its goal to offer a product line based on companion applications to Microsoft's products. Our hope is that this will help make the overall experience with their products even better. While Microsoft develops strong applications, we feel that there are usability issues that we all face day after day and which differ from user to user. We hope to be able to address many of these issues and enhance the end user's ability to achieve their goals with far less complication and in far less time.
